Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to understand project requirements and objectives.
Create comprehensive test plans/test cases based on project specifications and user stories.
Conduct manual and automated testing of websites and web applications built on platforms like WordPress, Shopify, and custom web projects.
Verify that all website functionalities meet design specifications and perform as intended.
Identify, document, and track defects, bugs, and issues in a bug-tracking system.
Perform cross-browser compatibility testing on various web browsers and devices to ensure a consistent user experience.
Evaluate website performance, including page load times, responsiveness, and scalability, and report any performance issues.
Conduct security testing to identify vulnerabilities, such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), and authentication flaws.
Validate data protection and privacy measures.
Perform regression testing to ensure new code changes do not introduce new defects or negatively impact existing functionality.
Assess the usability and user experience (UX) of websites and provide feedback on navigation, layout, and design elements.
Verify the seamless integration of various components and third-party integrations.
Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
Communicate testing progress, results, and issues clearly to the development team and stakeholders.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in web development and quality assurance.
Suggest process improvements and contribute to enhancing the overall quality of web projects.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer in web development for at least 2 years.
Strong knowledge of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and common web development platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify).
Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail).
Experience in security testing and knowledge of common web security vulnerabilities.
Proficiency in cross-browser compatibility testing and performance testing.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Continuous learning mindset and a passion for quality assurance.
Good at English.
