Junior / Middle / Senior




As a penetration tester, you'll understand complex computer systems and technical cybersecurity terms. You'll need to:

  • Working directly with clients to determine their testing requirements from the test, for example, the number and type of systems

  • Planning and creating penetration methods, scripts, and test procedures

  • Conduct penetration tester, either remotely or on-site, to identify security weaknesses in client infrastructures

  • Simulating security breaches to test a system's relative security

  • Creating reports and recommendations based on your findings, including the security issues uncovered and level of risk

  • Advising on methods to fix or lower security risks to systems

  • Presenting your findings, risks, and conclusions to management and other relevant parties

  • Considering the potential impact your 'attack' will have on the business and its users

  • Understanding how the flaws that you identify could affect a business, or business function, if they're not fixed


  • Experience: 1+ years (Junior), 3+ years (Middle); 5+ years (Senior)

  • A Degree in a relevant field such as Computer science, Computing, and information systems, Cyber security, Forensic computing, Network management, or Computer systems engineering

  • Possession of OSCP or Crest Certification is highly desirable

  • In-depth understanding of computer systems and their operation

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written to explain your methods, and findings to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Attention to detail, to plan and execute tests while considering client requirements

  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to penetrate security systems

  • Good time management and organizational skills to meet client deadlines

  • Ability to think laterally and 'outside the box

  • Teamwork skills, to support colleagues and share techniques

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and the persistence to apply different techniques to get the job done

  • Business skills to understand the implications of any weaknesses you find

  • Commitment to continuously update your technical knowledge base

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Good at English


Working location: Remote Full-time (Australian time)

Salary range: Junior: up to USD 1,600 Gross; Middle: up to USD 2,200 Gross; Senior: up to USD 3,000 Gross
