Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the SOC team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship as needed

  • Develop and implement strategies for improving the overall security posture of the organization and our MSSP customers

  • Monitor and analyze security events and alerts to identify potential threats

  • Investigate security incidents and coordinate with other teams to resolve them

  • Maintain and update security tools, technologies, and processes to ensure their effectiveness and currency

  • Develop and maintain metrics and reporting to measure the security team's effectiveness and communicate security risks to senior management

  • Work with other teams across the organization to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of the business, including our MSSP services

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, threats, and technologies in the cybersecurity industry

  • Deliver projects and transition them into MSSP operations, inclusive of SOC/SIEM

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders in a hands-on capacity, demonstrating technical expertise and ability to transition between roles

  • Assist the Zirilio sales team on Pre-sales and Solutions Architecture from time to time

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related field

  • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, preferably with strong hands-on technical experience

  • Strong technical skills and experience with solutions such as CASB, EDR, WAFS, VMDR, DLP, Web/Email Security, Secure Remote Access, and Firewall integration/administration

  • Highly regarded skills include pen testing experience, knowledge of Governance, Risk, and

  • Compliance (GRC) frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, ASD E8, and strong networking skills

  • Experience with incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management

  • Experience with security operations center (SOC) tools, such as SIEM, log management, and network monitoring tools

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Proficient English speaking

  • Relevant industry certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC, are a plus

Working location: Remote Full-time (Australian time)

Salary range: up to USD 3,200 Gross
