We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to lead engineers building Java/Spring applications on AWS that leverage generative AI (LLMs). This hybrid role is based in Ho Chi Minh City and requires overlap with U.S. working hours. You will set technical direction, deliver scalable and secure systems, and collaborate closely with product, design, and applied science teams.

Leadership & Team Management:

• Recruit, mentor, and grow a collaborative, high-performing engineering team: Foster ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.

• Provide hands-on technical guidance, code reviews, and enforce engineering best practices and quality standards.

• Run effective 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development plans.

Technical Strategy & Delivery:

• Define and deliver the technical roadmap aligned to business priorities; prioritize work for maximum impact.

• Make architecture decisions to ensure scalability, resilience, security, and operational efficiency on AWS.

• Improve delivery through CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and DevOps practices.

AI/ML & LLM:

• Lead development of AI/generative AI features using Spring AI and AWS AI services, emphasizing measurable outcomes and safe deployment.

• Establish responsible AI practices, experimentation workflows, and production guardrails for models and prompts.

• Integrate LLM-based developer tools and frameworks (e.g., LangChain) to create maintainable business workflows.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with product, UX, and applied science teams to translate requirements into clear engineering plans.

• Communicate technical concepts and project status clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Champion agile practices and effective cross-team collaboration.
