Responsibilities
The Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer is the front line of defense, responsible for ensuring the continuous availability and optimal performance of all critical services and network infrastructure. This role involves proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, initial diagnosis, and efficient escalation of technical issues to maintain service reliability for our customers.
Continuous Monitoring: Proactively monitor and diagnose the performance and health of all network services.
Rapid Incident Response: Act as the first line of support, troubleshooting, and resolving initial network, latency, and application incidents.
Tool Management: Ensure the stability and accuracy of operational monitoring and alerting systems.
Escalation: Timely and effective escalation of complex incidents to specialized senior teams.
Documentation: Contribute to SOPs and generate performance and incident reports.
Teamwork: Collaborate effectively across technical teams (Infrastructure, Development) to ensure 12/7 service availability.
Requirements
General Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Communication: An intermediate level of English (both written and verbal) is essential.
Experience Level: 1-2 years of experience in a NOC, Technical Support, or System Administration role, or proven ability to quickly learn.
Aptitude: Ability to self-learn, troubleshoot, and adapt to new monitoring and network technologies quickly.
Technical Requirements
Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and firewalls).
Operating Systems: Experience with system administration basics on Linux or Windows Server environments.
Monitoring Tools: Proficiency in using standard network and application monitoring/alerting systems (e.g., SolarWinds, Datadog, Splunk, Zabbix, Nagios, etc.).
Troubleshooting: Experience with diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, traceroute, ping, netstat) to pinpoint the cause of connectivity issues.

Cloud Exposure: Basic familiarity with cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP).
ITSM Tools: Experience working with ITSM systems like Jira Service Desk or ServiceNow.
Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or ITIL Foundation.
