We need a senior full-stack engineer who can own end-to-end delivery on our internal web applications, from polished React frontends through to the Express/Node.js backend services that power them. You will be the primary engineering counterpart to the Data & AI Lead, turning strategy into a working product.

This is not a large-team, ticket-queue environment. You will operate with high autonomy, make architectural decisions, and see your work go live quickly. If you thrive when you can see the full picture and move fast, this is a compelling engagement.

Frontend Development:

• Build and iterate on React-based internal tools used by the investment team (deal pipeline, portfolio dashboards, LP reporting interfaces).

• Own component architecture, state management, and UI/UX quality across the application suite.

• Translate wireframes, Figma designs, and ad-hoc requirements into clean, responsive interfaces.

• Implement data visualisation components (charts, tables, KPI cards) that surface financial and operational metrics.

Backend Development:

• Design and build RESTful APIs and backend services in Express/Node.js to support frontend features.

• Implement authentication, authorisation, and role-based access controls.

• Integrate with third-party services and APIs (e.g., Xero, document management systems, data providers).

• Manage database schemas, queries, and migrations; optimise for performance and reliability.

General Engineering:

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), deployment automation, and infrastructure on AWS (EC2).

• Write tests, conduct code reviews, and maintain documentation for a small but growing codebase.

• Collaborate with the Data & AI Lead on architecture decisions, technical roadmapping, and build-vs-buy evaluations.

• Proactively identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and security concerns.
