We are looking for a hands-on Senior DBA to take ownership of production database environments, drive performance and reliability, and act as a technical reference within a distributed team. This is a practical, operational role for someone comfortable with live environments, incidents, and optimization challenges

• Own and resolve production database incidents (performance issues, slow queries, replication lag, backup failures)

• Analyze and optimize MySQL / MariaDB environments in live systems

• Review database architectures and configurations, and implement improvements

• Monitor database health and proactively prevent issues

• Perform remote DBA audits and consultations for clients

• Work closely with system engineers on infrastructure and performance topics

• Support and mentor junior DBAs when needed

• Database administration, tuning, and optimization

• Advanced query analysis, indexing, and configuration reviews

• Backup, restore, and disaster-recovery strategies

• High availability and replication setups

• Automation of DBA tasks and operational improvements

• Participation in client technical calls and performance reviews
