Responsibilities
Develop and customize core components of the Android OS, including Linux Kernel, Android Framework, System Services, HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer), and native libraries.
Work directly with the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
Fine-tune and optimize system UI elements such as the System UI, Launcher, and Settings app.
Analyze logs, debug system issues, measure performance, and ensure system stability and smooth operation.
Address security vulnerabilities, apply security patches, and support OTA (Over The Air) updates.
Communicate and report directly to leaders in Vietnam and Canada.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of Android OS architecture: In-depth understanding of the full Android stack, from Kernel to Application layer, especially AOSP and native components.
Proficient in system debugging and optimization: Hands-on experience with log analysis, debugging system issues, performance tuning, and resource optimization.
Security awareness and system update management: Familiarity with OS-level security practices, patching vulnerabilities, and deploying OTA updates.
Willingness to research and learn new programming languages and frameworks.
