We’re hiring an Automated Test Engineer to own test automation across our web and mobile products. Mobile is a major focus: native iOS (Swift), native Android (Kotlin) and cross-platform React Native. You’ll be equally capable on web builds, creating the frameworks and pipelines that let product teams ship confidently on every platform.

You'll be the quality engineering voice in a cross-functional squad, turning acceptance criteria into automated checks that run on every commit and every build. On web, that means reliable end-to-end, cross-browser and API coverage. On mobile, you’ll understand how each platform behaves (lifecycles, permissions, offline states, push notifications, deep links and device fragmentation) and test for it.

Our stack is Swift and Kotlin on mobile, TypeScript across web and React Native, Java on the backend, and a Ruby product we also manage, all hosted on AWS with Terraform for infrastructure as code. End- to-end testing runs on Maestro, coverage is tracked in Codecov, and we build with AI using Anthropic’s Claude and GitHub Spec Kit for spec-driven development. Expect to shape the test strategy across all of it, not just execute it.

• Own and grow our Maestro end-to-end suite, using Maestro Studio to build and maintain flows for iOS, Android, React Native and web

• Write lower-level mobile UI tests in XCUITest (Swift) and Espresso or Compose UI Test (Kotlin) where Maestro isn’t the right fit

• Turn Spec Kit specifications and acceptance criteria into automated tests, and use Claude to speed up test design and generation

• Automate API and integration tests for our Java backend services and Ruby product

• Work with developers on unit tests and track coverage in Codecov, setting sensible thresholds and closing gaps

• Integrate suites into CI/CD pipelines with clear reporting on every build

• Help provision and maintain test environments on AWS using Terraform

• Run tests across browsers, real devices and simulators, including cloud device farms

• Test mobile-specific behaviour: OS versions, screen sizes, permissions, background/foreground, network loss, push notifications and deep links

• Check performance and accessibility on web (Lighthouse, axe, WCAG) and mobile (startup time, memory, VoiceOver, TalkBack)

• Investigate failures, reduce flaky tests and keep suites fast and trustworthy

• Support release quality for web deployments and TestFlight, App Store and Google Play submissions

• Test AI features built on Anthropic’s models, including evaluation sets and guardrail checks

• Report on quality metrics such as Codecov coverage, defect leakage, crash-free rate and pipeline stability
