Responsibilities

  • Lead, build and coach globally distributed Development Teams to ensure the design and architecture of software with great attention to performance, security, quality, and responsiveness of software applications

  • Build, implement and monitor coaching plans and performance reviews of your teams

  • Resolve issues brought forth by or to your teams to ensure motivated engineering excellence in both development and delivery

  • Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment

  • Lead a collaborative and progressive rollout of technological advancements for our Engineering Department

  • Be a technology evangelist who helps use technology to solve business, customer, and developer problems.

Requirements

  • Fluent in both spoken and written English language

  • At least ten years of proven experience in Software Development

  • At least six years of proven experience leading engineering teams, including recruitment, training, engagement, and retention

  • At least five years of proven experience designing and building high-performance and complex systems

  • At least three years of proven experience working in an intricate Service Oriented Architecture with solid overarching principles

  • Strong project management and organization skills

  • Expert in the development of distributed web applications

  • Expert in at least one programming language

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject

  • Knowledgeable in at least one agile methodology with the ability to drive its adoption
